DQ3 Manhole Lifter

An opportunity to use the DQ3 manhole lifter to enable me carry out a level survey for another s104 application. Also enabling me to work autonomously and safely, and it pleases my Chiropractic too !!!

What is a s104 application?

A s104 (Section 104 of the Water Industry Act (1991)) agreement is a legal agreement between a developer and a water company, where the developer agrees to build sewers to an agreed standard, which the water company will then adopt. The agreement is usually signed at the early stages of the development and lasts for several years, until the water company is satisfied the network has been completed to their satisfaction.

At EngSurv (UK) Ltd we undertake the whole process of site investigation, foul drainage level survey, producing drawings and long sections for the (i) Expression of Interest, (ii) the s104 application and (iii) the subsequent s106 application which follows.

Client Issued Schedule of Works / Bill of Quantities
Sometimes, rather than building our own Bill of Quantities, we have a client issued Schedule of Works or Bill of Quantities which we can import and integrate into our estimating and valuation software. We can then cross-check/verify the BoQ quantum by linking the data from the take-off and importing it into our pricing software.

Accuracy & Consistency
We can price either from first principles using unlimited resource listing or use a predefined build-up, which is driven by the client's (contractor) raw cost data, i.e. labour and plant costs.
